Jubilant Dean Bowditch was awash with emotion after steering Ipswich Town into the second round of the Carling Cup.
The 17-year-old striker went from substitute to saviour in last night's 1-0 victory against plucky Kidderminster Harriers at Portman Road.
Town were dominant from start to finish but failed to break the deadlock until 14 seconds into extra-time, Bowditch cashing in on a defensive mistake to finally beat inspired keeper Stuart Brock.
And afterwards he said: "That was a great moment for me and a real milestone to score my first senior goal.
"My mum, dad and brother were in the crowd and it meant a lot to me that they were there to share my special moment."
